There are 11 confirmed cases of cyclosporiasis in Alabama as an outbreak of the infection continues to spread across the United States.
There are 10 confirmed cases in north Alabama and one case in the southwest region of the state, According to the Alabama Department of Public Health. Those case counts have been updated as of Wednesday, but the health agency told AL.com that it “expects more cases as more people may be tested, based upon symptoms and awareness.”
