66-year-old woman killed in east Alabama hit-and-run

An investigation is underway after a woman was killed in a predawn hit-and-run in Etowah County.

Etowah County Deputy Coroner Dantez Robinson identified the victim as Teresa Cranford Hammett. She was 66 and lived in Gadsden.
