‘A political hit job:’ Alabama Public TV board considers new firm for controversial survey

The Alabama Public Television foundation board is considering Cygnal, a self-proclaimed “center-right” polling firm, for a public survey after negotiations with McLaughlin & Associates, another Republican polling firm, fell through.

During a special called meeting set for Wednesday, the Alabama Educational Television Foundation Authority, one of Alabama Public Television’s governing bodies, is expected to discuss striking an agreement with Cygnal, according to Commissioner Ferris Stephens.
