Although the House of Representatives voted down an amendment to end $3.3 billion in U.S. aid to Israel, a slim majority of House Democrats voted in favor of the measure Wednesday.
However, Alabama’s two House Democrat congressmembers, Rep. Shomari Figures and Rep. Terri Sewell, voted against ending aid to the nation that has continued losing favor with Democratic voters following the destruction of Gaza after Oct. 7.
