Alabama drivers face some of the nation’s highest fatality rates, study finds

Alabama reported some of the highest fatality rates from drunk driving and speeding in 2024, according to a study from Utah personal injury law firm Siegfried & Jensen.

In 2024, 962 Alabamians died in drunk driving accidents, or 18.7 people per 100,000 population.
