This is a guest opinion column
As an Alabama native who’s lived here all my life, I’ve watched how my rural part of the Black Belt has changed over time. I’ve built a life here – playing football, raising my children, working, and enjoying everything that makes my home special. But where I see some parts of our state heading concerns me.
