Alabama Republicans push straight-ticket voting as Democrats eye turnout gains

Republicans gathered inside the rustic Oak Hollow Farm south of Fairhope on Tuesday were treated to a fried chicken dinner, an introductory speech by the state’s relatively new GOP chairman, and a succinct message from the head of the Baldwin County party: Vote straight-ticket.
