Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey announced Friday the deployment of four Type III Swiftwater search-and-rescue teams to assist Texas with ongoing life-threating flooding.
Heavy rain continues to pelt the Texas Hill Country, the same region that was devastated by flooding in July 2025, which killed more than 130 people. Flash flood emergencies have been issued across parts of Texas, and search-and-rescue operations are underway.
