Alabama voters approve amendment on Pledge of Allegiance and prayer in schools

Alabama voters approved Amendment 3 on Tuesday, adding requirements for the Pledge of Allegiance and student-led prayer in public schools to the state Constitution.

Amendment 3 had 62.6 percent voting yes and 37.4 percent voting no with 93 percent of the vote in.
