Alabama voters approve new national anthem school rule

Alabama voters approved Amendment 4 on Tuesday, requiring public schools to broadcast or allow a performance of the first stanza of “The Star Spangled Banner” at least once a week.

Amendment 4 had 58.6 percent voting yes and 41.4 percent voting no with 94 percent of the vote in.
