Some people in Alabama will be eligible for a $500 payment through a new initiative announced Thursday by President Trump.
The White House announced the refunds for almost a million people from 30 states who enrolled in marketplace health insurance plans, commonly known as Obamacare. Alabama is among the qualifying states.
