Amanda Knox is defending her new comedy show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe after criticism from the family of Meredith Kercher, the British exchange student whose 2007 killing in Italy became the focus of a yearslong international legal saga involving Knox. Knox says the production is intended to explore themes of motherhood, trauma and public scrutiny while honoring Kercher’s memory, The Associated Press reported.
