Arrest made in 2022 hit-and-run that killed man who ran out of gas on I-65 in Birmingham

A suspect has been charged in the hit-and-run death of a 42-year-old man who was fatally struck four years ago when he ran out of gas on Interstate 65 in Birmingham.

Malique Corteze McKeithen, 30, is charged with manslaughter in the death of Martin Michael Cruse, a ramp operations supervisor for Envoy Air, according to court records made public Wednesday.
