A Baldwin County school board member accused of supporting a Democratic candidate for the Alabama Legislature said she submitted her resignation from the Republican Party last week, citing concerns over public education and the treatment of Republican candidates.
Andrea Lindsey, who represents District 2 on the Baldwin County Board of Education, notified Baldwin County Republican Party Chair Kathy Morelock and Vice Chair Jerry Ann McCarron on Friday, Oct. 30, that she was leaving the party and would consider herself an independent.
