Birmingham-area cat cafe closing after owner says landlord declined to renew its lease

The Lotus Catfe in Alabaster recently announced it would be closing at the end of this month after three and a half years in its current space on Highway 119.

Owner Skye Vallincourt, according to The Lotus’ GoFundMe page, wrote in Facebook comments that the business would be closing because landlords didn’t “want [them] in the space anymore.”
