GRAMMY®-winning sibling duo Blaq Tuxedo return with their new single “Ugly Face,” out now ahead of their forthcoming EP, Boyz in the Band, arriving November 13. The release builds on a steady run of new music from Sacramento natives Darius and Dominique, including their remix of “Crash Out,” featuring a standout verse from R&B superstar Trey Songz, to their recent single “No Curfew,” which has held the No. 2 spot among the most-added songs at U.S. Rhythmic Radio for consecutive weeks.

Together, the releases reflect the duo’s continued commitment to pushing creative boundaries while carving out a distinct sound of their own.

Their latest single embraces a sex-positive perspective centered on mutual pleasure and partnership rather than one-sided pursuit.

Bringing that sentiment to life, the accompanying music video finds the duo serenading their love interests in an intimate setting, backed by a live band that puts their vocal prowess front and center. Blending nostalgic R&B influences with a modern, genre-bending edge, “Ugly Face” offers a glimpse into the duo’s evolving sound ahead of next week’s EP release.

Fresh off contributing to Jhené Aiko’s new album Westside Whimsy — co-writing and providing vocal production on the track “Don’t Be That Guy” — Blaq Tuxedo continues to build on a stellar resume.

Most recently, the duo earned songwriting and production credits on B2K’s new album Eclipse, where they produced and co-wrote two tracks: “Vibrate” and “Boyfriend” feat. Bow Wow.

Across their career, the siblings have also collaborated with Doja Cat and Ty Dolla $ign, cementing themselves as one of R&B’s most sought-after production and songwriting teams. In 2025 alone, they penned and produced records for Chris Brown (“Residuals” — co-produced/co-written) and Ciara (“Infinite Imagination,” “Low,” and “LMOL”).

“Residuals” later earned a GRAMMY® nomination for Best R&B Performance, achieved Platinum RIAA certification, and reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic and Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.

With their forthcoming EP, Boyz in the Band, arriving November 13, Blaq Tuxedo continues to build momentum as they enter their next chapter, bringing their work as acclaimed songwriters and producers further into the spotlight as recording artists.
