A healthcare professional and a Marine Corps veteran are stepping into the smoothie business with a plan that reaches beyond opening day.
Katrina and Arman Bryant will celebrate BLENDED Douglasville’s grand opening today Saturday, October 31. The location adds another chapter to founder Jamie Bowman’s effort to connect everyday wellness with business ownership.
According to the company’s announcement, Douglasville marks BLENDED Smoothie & Juice Bar’s second franchise and third store overall. The opening brings another family into the ownership side of the brand’s growth.
From Caring for People to Serving a Neighborhood
Katrina brings more than two decades of acute and critical care nursing experience. In 2023, she earned her nursing master’s degree and became an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner. Arman brings a background in the U.S. Marine Corps and construction project management.
Their experience gives the opening a human story beyond the familiar new-business announcement. Healthcare and construction demand different skills. Both involve responsibility, coordination and people depending on someone to get the details right.
Now, the Bryants face the work of building customer relationships around a neighborhood storefront.
BLENDED’s Roots Run Through Family
Bowman’s reason for starting BLENDED was personal. On the company’s website, she describes watching loved ones face diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and obesity. Those experiences helped inspire a business focused on making fruit- and vegetable-based drinks part of everyday life.
That origin gives the Douglasville expansion a connection to Katrina’s professional background. Both stories begin with an interest in how people care for themselves.
The brand’s offerings include smoothies, juices, protein shakes, smoothie bowls and health blends. Its website describes a menu built around fruits, vegetables and superfoods.
For customers, the appeal still has to begin with something straightforward: a drink they enjoy enough to order again. A wellness mission can introduce a brand. Flavor, service and consistency give people reasons to return.
A Georgia Brand Builds Through Franchising
BLENDED began in Hiram in 2018 and added its first franchise in Marietta in 2025.
“Every BLENDED location gives us the opportunity to serve another community while helping another family build something of their own,” Bowman said in the company’s announcement.
That family-ownership goal is central to how the company presents its expansion.
Franchising also changes the relationship between a founder and a growing business. Another owner takes responsibility for carrying the concept into a new neighborhood. The name travels, but the customer experience depends on the people running that store.
BLENDED’s franchise information describes training and support in operations, customer service, product ordering and pricing guidelines.
For an emerging brand, those everyday systems help connect the founder’s vision to what customers experience at the counter.
Douglasville is the next place where that relationship will take shape.
BLENDED Douglasville Grand Opening Details
The grand opening takes place Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 3538 Highway 92, Suite B, Douglasville, Georgia 30135.
