With four weeks left in Alabama’s election season, campaigns are beginning to spend a lot of money on a key congressional race.
Supporters of U.S. Rep. Shomari Figures, the Democrat who represents the 2nd District in south Alabama, and state Rep. Rhett Marques, the Republican challenger, just spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on advertising and outreach, according to federal records.
