The College Football Playoff might look to ban teams that include former professional athletes on their rosters, according to a report Thursday by On3’s Ross Dellenger.
According to Dellenger’s report, CFP leaders are set to meet by conference call, during which the hot-button topic of former NFL players seeking to return to college football will be broached. After two players recently released from NFL training camps committed to LSU after being declared eligible via a Louisiana lawsuit, the SEC, Big Ten and Big 12 all passed rules banning their member schools from rostering such players and promising stiff penalties for those who attempt to do so.
