Dear Annie: Our sweet German Shepherd becomes a menace the minute we walk out the door

Dear Annie: I have a 4-year-old German shepherd that is the sweetest dog inside our home. She is affectionate, loyal and gentle with our family. She follows me everywhere, curls up beside me in the evening and greets us like we have been gone for a week, even if we only stepped outside for a few minutes.
