Disputing claims in Auburn mosque column about Sharia law, Sudan violence: op-ed

This is a guest opinion column

I’d like to address the recent opinion piece by contributor Tripp Skipper—peace be upon him—entitled, “Auburn is getting a new mosque. Tommy Tuberville warned us to pay attention.” Putting aside Mr. Skipper’s wish to deny a prayer space to his fellow worshippers of the God of Abraham, my concern is his linking of Sharia law to the horrors committed by Sudanese dictator Omar al-Bashir against the Sudanese people.
