Gas prices for 09/21/26: Average gallon of gas jumps 16 cents in one week

Gasoline prices in the U.S. are up more than 16 cents in the last week, while diesel prices continue to set records. As of Monday, Sept. 21, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $4.478, according to AAA.
