Gas prices up 28 cents in a month setting September record, diesel tops $6 for first time

Gas prices are continuing to rise at a time when demand is usually down and prices start to drop. As of Sept. 11, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded fuel is $4.29, the highest it has ever been at this time in September, according to AAA.
