Gov. Kay Ivey changes Alabama’s special election plans as state awaits Supreme Court decision

Gov. Kay Ivey amended Alabama’s plans for an August special congressional election as efforts to redistrict appear tied up in court.

On June 2, Ivey amended the Aug. 11 special primary election and asked parties to reopen qualifying.
