Guitarist returns to his roots for July 4 show in Mobile

As a kid at Williamson High School, Dennis “Finger Roll” Nelson learned guitar by emulating heroes such as Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana. Then he carved out a career as a smooth jazz artist, spending most of his adult life on the West Coast but making regular visits home, including some memorable appearances at BayFest.
