Hoover apartment declared a nuisance due to “deplorable, unsafe, unspeakable” conditions

The city of Hoover is requiring immediate repairs to the Park at Hoover apartment complex after reports of neglect and unlivable conditions.

Over the years, resident reports and inspections have revealed mold, structural issues and utility failures across the complex. During Monday’s city council meeting, the majority owner of the apartment said he would rectify the problems that have plagued residents for years.
