Major roads in north Alabama will be closed to make way for the 33rd annual Trail of Tears Commemorative Motorcycle Ride on Saturday, Sept. 19.
The ride commemorates the forced removal of tens of thousands of Native Americans in the 1830s and 1850s, including those who walked from Ross’s Landing near Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Waterloo, Alabama.
