Husband and wife sentenced to prison after selling nearly $1M worth of homes they didn’t own

SAN DIEGO — A husband and wife have been sentenced to prison after they pleaded guilty to charges of operating an international property theft scheme. Victor Hugo Villalobos Almazan and his wife, Nayeli Noemi Montoya Rodriguez were sentenced after entering into a plea agreement in June 2026.
