A $25,000 Tourism Department legal contract stalled Thursday after Sen. Arthur Orr (R - Decatur) questioned how the agency chose the Montgomery law firm slated to receive the work.
Orr raised the questions during the Oct. 1 meeting of the Legislature’s Joint Contract Review Committee, asking Tourism Department representative Grant Wallace to explain how Rushton, Stakely, Johnston & Garrett, PA was chosen for the assignment.
