Lionel Messi becomes World Cup’s all-time leading goal-scorer

Argentina’s Lionel Messi scored in the 38th minute vs. Austria on Monday, become the all-time leader with his 17^th goal in World Cup play.

The 38-year-old superstar converted by booting the ball past Austria keeper Alexander Schlager to give his side a 1-0 lead. He broke a tie with legendary German striker Miroslav Klose (who last played in the World Cup in 2014) for first place on the all-time scoring list.
