A 41-year-old Alabama man is accused of threatening a Mississippi coroner with ties to the high-profile Nolan Wells death investigation.
Claude Henry Bates Jr., 41, of Montgomery, is charged federally with sending threats across state lines to kill or injure a person and to destroy a building, according to newly unsealed court documents.
