A police chase that started in Vestavia Hills ended in a crash with a pedestrian struck at a downtown Birmingham intersection.
Vestavia Hills police said officers initiated the pursuit just before 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 65 northbound at mile marker 254.
