Mobile data center could generate $1.5 billion in sales tax revenue over 20 years

An estimated $6 billion data center planned for north Mobile County is expected to generate roughly $1.5 billion in sales tax revenue for state and county governments over the next two decades. It also will produce nearly $100 million a year in new property tax revenue for Mobile County and its public school system.
