New state-of-the-art playground unveiled at north Alabama state park

Construction of the new playground at Joe Wheeler State Park was made possible through the generosity of the Alabama State Parks Foundation and its dedicated partners, with lead contributions of $100,000 from the Daniel Foundation and $50,000 from the Thompson Foundation.

A brand-new, state-of-the-art, accessible playground has arrived at Joe Wheeler State Park in Lauderdale County.
