Publix grocery store coming to north Jefferson County with $1 million tax incentive

The Jefferson County Commission has approved a $1 million tax incentive agreement to bring a new Publix grocery store to Kimberly, where it will anchor a shopping center development off Highway 31.

The shopping center will be located at 9176 Hwy. 31 North in Kimberly and is expected to create more than 60 jobs, according to county documents.
