Two tractor-trailer drivers helped bring a high-speed chase to an end on Interstate 65 early Saturday morning by blocking a fleeing driver who was speeding through Shelby and Chilton counties, according to the Calera Police Department.
The pursuit began around 2:45 a.m., when a Calera police officer spotted a vehicle traveling south at a high rate of speed through an Interstate 65 construction zone, weaving past other motorists in a reckless manner.
