Social Security payment schedule changes for rest of 2026 with big difference in November

SSI payments will be issued on Thursday, Oct. 1 and then again on Friday, Oct. 30 because Nov. 1 falls on a Sunday. This means – at least technically – SSI recipients will get two October payments and none in November.

Social Security’s payment schedule will undergo significant changes for the remainder of 2026 and it all has to do with the calendar.
