Some Alabama residents to receive $500 health insurance refund checks: Do you qualify?

Some Alabama residents will start receiving $500 checks from the Treasury Department as soon as this week, federal officials announced Wednesday.

The White House this month announced the refunds for almost 1 million people from 30 states who enrolled in marketplace health insurance plans, commonly known as Obamacare.
