Southern Company reports $2.5 billion earnings so far in 2026, up 14 percent

Southern Company, parent company to Alabama Power, reported earnings of $1.2 billion in the second quarter of 2026, according to a news release.

This represents a 33 percent increase from the $0.9 billion recorded in the second quarter of 2025.
