Tens of thousands of Alabama voters are flagged as ‘inactive:’ Can you still vote?

Thousands of Alabama voters may need to take an additional step in order to cast ballots in the May 19 primary election.

Alabama voters who are registered but have not voted recently may be listed as “inactive.” About 61,200 voters are considered inactive in Jefferson County alone, an election official told AL.com.
