The First Academy Royals (7-1) travel to face the Lakeland Dreadnaughts (8-1) tonight at 7 p.m. in a nondistrict showdown between two of Florida’s most formidable programs. Both teams enter riding significant winning streaks, with TFA having won three in a row since its only loss to IMG Academy, while Lakeland has reeled off seven consecutive victories following its lone defeat to Venice. The matchup carries added intrigue as a rematch of last year’s thriller, when The First Academy edged Lakeland 35-28 in double overtime on Halloween night.
