California Gov. Gavin Newsom, expected to run for president in 2028, ruthlessly mocked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over the controversy surrounding conditions aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.

Hegseth on Thursday said that reports about deteriorating conditions on the vessel were “completely misrepresented.”
