Top Shelf Vacations Lands Epic Memories in Las Vegas With Lucky Daye and Trevor Jackson

1 month ago 23

Top Shelf Vacations brought over 200 travelers to Las Vegas over Labor Day weekend for a multi-day experience combining R&B, nightlife, dining, hospitality and artist access, marking one of the Black-owned travel company’s most ambitious domestic activations to date. This epic undertaking was its largest ever, as the private travel club typically hosts about 40 guests on its average trip.

Founded by actor and entrepreneur Ser’Darius Blain, Top Shelf Vacations has built a rapidly expanding community around culturally driven group travel, pairing destinations with the music, entertainment and social experiences its travelers already enjoy. The Las Vegas weekend expanded that model with private performances, celebrity appearances, brand partnerships and access to some of the city’s biggest R&B events.

The Hype Magazine partnered with Top Shelf Vacations for media coverage throughout the weekend, while The Omni Firm supported production, talent relations, media relations and strategic partnerships, providing an inside view of both the guest experience and the extensive coordination required behind the scenes.

Lucky Daye Opens the Weekend at Bauhaus Las Vegas

Friday night’s centerpiece was “Lucky in Vegas,” a private experience at Bauhaus Las Vegas featuring Grammy-winning R&B artist Lucky Daye. The event was produced in collaboration with Top Shelf Vacations, Vibe Distribution, The Omni Firm and Warner Records.

The evening began with a VIP culinary experience featuring Naomi’s Catering, Parsley Mediterranean and Hana Ramen and a TRL-style countdown hosted by Top Shelf Co-Founder Nick Beam, before transitioning into a private late-night celebration with soulful opening acts like Rob Lee The Musician and Johnny Burgos. The crowd went wild as Daye took the stage to perform new music for the first time ever for Top Shelf travelers, invited guests, music industry executives and media, including his latest single “Fly U Out.”

The intimate setting offered guests a very different experience from the arena-scale performances that would define the rest of the weekend. Among those in attendance were Don and Liane Benjamin, actress Porscha Coleman, Compton of Black Ink Crew and Blain.

The performance also served as an unofficial kickoff to a weekend centered heavily around R&B, with many Top Shelf travelers in Las Vegas to attend The R&B Tour featuring Usher and Chris Brown at Allegiant Stadium.

Brunch, Poolside Experiences and The R&B Tour

Programming continued Saturday with a bottomless mimosa brunch at Happy Camper, followed by a cabana experience at a Las Vegas pool hotspot and party bus ground transportation for an attendance at highly-anticipated Usher and Chris Brown concert, The R&B Tour, later that evening at Allegiant Stadium’s exclusive Wynn Field Club.

Top Shelf’s itinerary combined scheduled group activities with time for travelers to experience Las Vegas independently, allowing guests to move between curated events and the city’s broader entertainment scene.

Sunday continued with bottle service and a poolside cabana lunch at Kassi Beach Club before travelers returned to Allegiant Stadium for another thrilling night centered around The R&B Tour and the Wynn Field Club experience.

The weekend’s entertainment programming did not end with the concert, however.

Trevor Jackson Closes the Weekend With “Suite Dreams”

Actor and recording artist Trevor Jackson headlined the closing “Suite Dreams” Pajama After Party at Saffron Lounge, bringing the four-day experience to a close with another intimate artist-led event.

Jackson performed his sexy set for Top Shelf travelers and invited guests in a setting designed to feel more personal than a traditional concert environment. DJ J Fresh, performing artists ThankUMartino and Daiyvion warmed up the crowd with opening sets, alongside Compton of Black Ink Crew who joined the night’s entertainment and provided tattoos to a select number of guests on site.

The closing party reflected a key element of Top Shelf Vacations’ expanding model: building exclusive and highly experiential programming around major entertainment moments already drawing travelers to a destination. TSV’s clear and simple mission is to create unforgettable memories and friendships to last a lifetime.

Rather than relying solely on existing concerts and nightlife events, the company created its own experiences before and after them, giving travelers access to a broader weekend built around music and community.

Travel, Entertainment and Community Converge

Since launching in 2019, Top Shelf Vacations has hosted more than 800 travelers across seven-plus countries, with a community that includes professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives and frequent leisure travelers. Past trips have seamlessly integrated and humanized talent into the experience with travelers such as Sevyn Streeter, Eric Bellinger, Terrell Owens, Natasha Graziano and more.

The company’s audience largely falls between the ages of 25 and 45, with women representing the majority of its travelers. That demographic has also made the Top Shelf platform attractive to brands looking to reach culturally connected consumers across fashion, beauty, wellness, spirits, food and entertainment.

In Las Vegas, the destination itself became only one part of the experience. The broader offering centered on access, community and curation, with entertainment woven throughout the itinerary rather than treated as a standalone add-on.

That approach helped the weekend function as more than a traditional group vacation. It became a multi-day lifestyle activation.

Brands Become Part of the Traveler Experience

Brand partners including True Religion, D’USSÉ, Be The Hoss, Black Girl Vitamins, Nu Moon Topicals, Bomani Skin Care and Buttah Skin were integrated across different elements of the weekend.

Rather than relying solely on logo placement, products and brand touchpoints were incorporated into gifting, fashion, nightlife, wellness and hospitality experiences.

Top Shelf Vacations also introduced limited-edition merchandise created specifically for the Las Vegas weekend. The collection included a “Make Vegas Great Again” collaboration with Hoss Co., an exclusive Top Shelf Vacations “Fly U Out” design inspired by Lucky Daye’s release, and commemorative R&B Tour Top Shelf Weekend T-shirts.

The merchandise extended the experience beyond the itinerary, giving travelers keepsakes tied directly to the weekend’s music and cultural moments.

Media Was Built Into the Weekend

Media coverage was also integrated into the activation from the beginning, with journalists and entertainment media participating in select experiences throughout the weekend.

That approach allowed the story to extend beyond traditional travel coverage into music, entertainment, hospitality, celebrity culture and business.

Behind the scenes, producing the weekend required coordination across artist teams, record labels, publicists, venues, sponsors, media, transportation, security and hospitality partners, all while managing the experience of nearly 200 travelers.

That level of production highlights where Top Shelf Vacations appears to be headed next.

Rather than operating strictly as a travel company, the brand is increasingly positioning itself at the intersection of travel, entertainment, culture and community, using major events as the foundation for its own programming.

The Las Vegas weekend offered one of the clearest examples yet of that evolution.

With Lucky Daye opening the weekend in an intimate setting, Trevor Jackson closing it with a late-night performance and nearly 200 travelers moving through a curated mix of concerts, dining, nightlife and branded experiences, Top Shelf Vacations demonstrated how group travel can become a platform for something much larger than the destination itself.
