Toy Robot Video celebrates the holiday season with an action classic, a Burt Reynolds neo-noir thriller, and KISS rocking the Motor City. Passenger 57, Sharky’s Machine and Detroit Rock City make their worldwide 4K UHD premieres this December — Passenger 57 and Sharky’s Machine on December 8, and Detroit Rock City on December 15.

Passenger 57 [4K UHD] — December 8

Travelers will be betting on black when the blockbuster aviation thrill ride Passenger 57 lands on 4K UHD. Director Kevin Hooks (Strictly Business) takes audiences 35,000 feet into the air, where a violent hostage situation leaves one man standing between the passengers and a ruthless terrorist. This Dual Format release features both a 4K UHD and Blu-ray disc, with the film presented on both discs in a new 4K restoration from the original camera negative, along with special features.

FBI agents transport dangerous terrorist Charles Rane (Bruce Payne, Dungeons & Dragons) from Miami to Los Angeles on an Atlantic International flight. His cold-blooded gang has a detailed plan to free him and hijack the airplane. They factored in everything except Passenger 57. John Cutter (Wesley Snipes, Blade) teaches anti-terrorism techniques to flight crews but now finds himself putting those lessons to the ultimate test. Along for the turbulent ride are Tom Sizemore (Natural Born Killers), Alex Datcher (Jury Duty), Bruce Greenwood (Exotica), Elizabeth Hurley (Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery) and Michael Horse (Twin Peaks).

Special features include a new 4K scan of the original camera negative in a 4K (2160p) UHD Blu-ray presentation in Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible); optional English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing; a brand-new interview with writer Stewart Raffill; and a new 2K scan of the original theatrical trailer.

Sgt. Tom Sharky (Burt Reynolds, Smokey and the Bandit) gets demoted from narcotics to the vice squad in the Atlanta police headquarters’ basement. His new assignment finds him cruising parks and busting prostitutes and johns, a far cry from the high-stakes narcotics cases he’s accustomed to. Things get interesting when he begins wiretapping the high-class hookers working for the city’s most powerful pimp, uncovering phone calls between Dominoe (Rachel Ward, Against All Odds) and a candidate for governor (Earl Holliman, Police Woman). Sharky becomes increasingly obsessed with the seductive Dominoe while maintaining surveillance on her luxury apartment, but powerful forces on both sides of the law want his investigation shut down. Powering the all-star lineup are Charles Durning (O Brother, Where Art Thou?), Brian Keith (The Parent Trap), Bernie Casey (Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure) and Henry Silva (Above the Law).

Special features include a new 4K scan of the original camera negative in a 4K (2160p) UHD Blu-ray presentation in Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible); optional English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing; brand-new interviews with screenwriter Gerald Di Pego, actor/stuntman Dan Inosanto and actor Robert Duncan McNeill; filmmaker Adam Rifkin (Detroit Rock City) remembering Burt Reynolds; a new 2K scan of the theatrical trailer; teaser trailer; TV spot; and behind-the-scenes stills gallery.
