Adams Chapel United Methodist Church in Barbour County was among 21 churches that were officially voted on for closure at the June 8, 2026 meeting of the Alabama-West Florida Conference.

The Alabama-West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church voted to close 21 churches on Monday during its annual meeting at First United Methodist Church of Pensacola.
