Tenured University of Alabama faculty will receive a review every five years to comply with state legislation that limited the role of faculty senate groups in universities.
The UA System Board of Trustees executive committee amended board policies on Aug. 14 that also included the board reviewing academic programs within the first five years. The board also said that faculty senate groups serve in an advisory capacity.
