The U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass legislation introduced by Alabama Rep. Shomari Figures, D-Mobile, that renames a post office in Tuskegee after the Tuskegee Airmen.
Prior to the bill’s passage, Figures offered remarks on the House floor about the legacy of the first Black aviators in the history of the U.S. military.
