A 67-year-old state prison inmate serving a life sentence has died at a Jefferson County hospital after becoming ill.
Gloria Jean Baldwin, who pleaded guilty in 1994 in Monroe County to capital murder during arson, was an inmate at the Birmingham Women’s Community Based Facility.
