A 51-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday that authorities say was unrelated to the onset of Hurricane Isaias, whose effects began to be felt in the area earlier that day.
The crash occurred around 9:08 a.m. on Moffett Road near the intersection of Western Drive. The vehicle drove off the road and struck a tree, police say.
