Feds warn of Medicare scams as open enrollment period kicks off

Federal officials are warning Medicare recipients and potential recipients of scams surrounding the program and the start of the open enrollment period. A warning from the Federal Trade Commission says that while health insurance scams are typical year-round, they tend to pick up during Open Enrollment for Medicare and the Marketplace.
